Functionality in the Input block

The input section is the area where the signal enters the grid.

It provides three functions:

  • Noise gate (not the same as the GTE block)
  • Preset's input level
  • Variable input impedance (not on AX8)

Input level

The Level parameter on the GTE/IN page is not related to the noise gate. It allows adjusting the level of the signal that enters the grid. For example to compensate for different guitars with varying output.

Input block as a Global Block

The settings of the Input block can be saved as a Global Block in the Axe-Fx II.
