Two [[bank|banks]] of 128 presets each are available for version 5.xx firmware, dubbed Bank A and Bank B.  The [[Ultra]] uses both banks A and B sequentially for a total of 256 unique presets in the first two banks of preset memory.  The Standard only uses the presets in Bank A, but duplicates them in the second bank, for 128 unique presets. In both models, Bank C has 128 empty patch storage locations.

Axe Preset Library

Grouping 128 Presets or Patches together form a bank. Both the Ultra and the Standard utilize 3 Banks known as A/B/C.

Since firmware v5.23 the Ultra has 384 unique presets populating it's 3 banks while the Standard has 256 unique presets populating Banks A/B. Bank C is blank so the user can create their own custom bank.


  • Ultra 5.22 Preset Library ~ July 2008. Unedited Factory Bank A and B Preset Library for the Ultra. Use unzip program of choice. Does not include firmware. Released coinciding with firmware 5.22.
  • Ultra 5.22 Individual Preset Library ~ All 256 unedited Factory presets individually extracted from Banks A and B for the Ultra. Great for backups or organizational purposes. Use unzip program of choice.
  • Ultra 5.23 Bank C Presets ~ August 2008. Brand new Bank C presets from Fractal. Must have 5.23 Firware to coordinate with resonator block settings.
  • Standard 5.22 Preset Library ~ July 2008. Unedited Factory Bank A and B Preset Library for the Standard. Use unzip program of choice. Does not include firmware. Released coinciding with firmware 5.22.
