The following is a guide to the acronyms and abbreviations that are used in relation to the Axe-Fx:
- FOH - Front Of House - the main PA system that an audience hears at a live show
- FRFR - Full Range, Flat Response - a speaker that is even across the whole audio spectrum
- IA - Instant Access - a configurable foot switch on a MIDI controller
- IEM - In-Ear Monitor - earbud headphones that block the ear canal and thus most external noise
- IR - Impulse response - the output of a device (speaker cabinet, effect, etc.) when an impulse is played into the input
