- To connect the Axe-Fx II and the MFC-101 floor controller a CAT5 cable can be used (instead of a MIDI cable). The CAT5 cable provides power to the MFC-101 without the need to connect an adapter to the Axe-Fx II, transmits MIDI messages between the Axe-Fx II and MFC-101, and carries tuner and tempo information to the MFC-101.
