What is flanging

Types

  • The Axe-Fx II Flanger now includes predefined types, including Through Zero flanging.

Mono or stereo

  • Flanger is a stereo effect but defaults to mono to prevent phase problems when used before an Amp block. To make it stereo adjust the LFO Phase parameter.

Thru-Zero flanging

  • Firmware 4.00 added the Dry Delay Shift parameter. This allows moving the thru-zero point from the center (default) to the edge or anywhere in between.
