System requirements

FAS-FX Reverb requires:

  • 2.0 GHz or higher processor
  • 2GB RAM minimum, 4GB or higher recommended
  • Internet connection required for activation
  • iLok License Manager and an account free at


  • OS X 10.6.8 or newer
  • AU or VST (64-bit): Any host capable of hosting 64-bit AUs or VSTs. There is no 32-bit version of this plug-in
  • AAX Native (64-bit): Requires Pro Tools 11 or newer. Will not run as an AAX DSP plug-in, only AAX Native


  • Windows 7 or newer
  • VST (32-bit and 64-bit): Any host capable of hosting 32-bit or 64-bit VSTs
  • AAX Native (64-bit): Requires Pro Tools 11 or newer. Will not run as an AAX DSP plug-in, only AAX Native

iLok protection

The plugin is copy-protected but does not require a hardware dongle. It requires activation using the free iLok License Manager from The manager allows you to activate the plugin WITH or WITHOUT a physical iLok2 "dongle" but you will need an Internet connection. Simply install the free manager and select "Redeem Activation Code" from the "Licenses" menu. Paste or type your activation code. Codes are emailed from Fractal Audio Systems.

Reverb types

The FAS-FX Reverb plugin comes with a lot of presets. The presets are based on several algorithms (reverb types), such as Chamber, Hall, Plate, Room, Spring, Tunnel and Studio. Some of the presets are modeled after famous reverb units. For example, the London Plate preset is probably based on the EMT 140.
