What is Fractal-Bot

  • Fractal-Bot is an utility to transmit firmware updates to the Axe-Fx II and MFC-101.
  • There are Mac and a Windows versions, available here.
  • The manual (PDF) is included in the installation file.

Troubleshooting

  • From the manual: "Should you encounter ERROR 14 while updating an MFC-101, decrease the MIDI Buffer Delay and try the update again. Using an Axe-Fx II MIDI interface under OS X, a setting of 90 ms was found to work. Using a MIDISport 1x1 under Windows 7, a setting of 50 ms worked. You may need to experiment to find the ideal setting."
