Features

  • You can use Fractal-Bot to:
    • Upgrade the firmware of the Axe-Fx II
    • Upgrade the firmware of the MFC-101
    • Send a preset to the Axe-Fx II
    • Send a preset bank to the Axe-Fx II
    • Retrieve a preset from the Axe-Fx II, with or without global blocks data
    • Retrieve a preset bank from the Axe-Fx II
    • Retrieve a user cab from the Axe-Fx II
    • Retrieve all user cabs from the Axe-Fx II
    • Create a backup of the Axe-Fx II (preset banks and/or system bank)
    • Fix a "bricked" Axe-Fx II ("Recovery ROM" mode) for use at the instruction of Fractal support.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Browse button doesn't work, exit Fractal-Bot, delete the Fractal-Bot.settings file and restart.
  • If the factory preset banks on the Axe-Fx II show up empty after updating with Fractal-Bot, install the latest firmware first. Old firmware (even minor versions) may not always be able to read newer preset revisions.
  • Communication issues: try another USB cable, do not use cable extenders or USB hubs, try another USB port, make sure there are no corrupt IRs installed. If anything else doesn't work, see Reset system.
