Firmware: software
- Fractal has now a dedicated utility available to transmit firmware updates to the Axe-Fx II and MFC-101, which can be used instead of Axe-Edit or a MIDI utility. See Fractal-Bot.
- When using MIDI-OX (Windows) to send firmware to the Axe-Fx II, be aware that its default settings may cause a buffer overrun error. Change Low Level I/O Buffers size to 256, and number to 16, and Milliseconds between buffers to 90.
Firmware: Axe-Fx II XL recovery
- Built-in backup firmware in the Axe-Fx II XL allows recovery in the event of complications during update.
Firmware: updating presets after a firmware update
- Updated firmware may cause changes in your presets. Read the firmware release notes and verify your presets.
- Also see Update All Presets.
