Axe-Fx Standard and Ultra

  • The first generation of the Axe-Fx consists of two models:
    1. The original Axe-Fx (now commonly known as Axe-Fx Standard) was released in 2006.
    2. In 2008, Fractal released the Axe-Fx Ultra, which doubled the processing power, added memory and Ultra-only effects.
  • With the release of the Axe-Fx II in May 2011, Fractal has discontinued production of these two models (End Of Life).

Preset compatibility with Axe-Fx II

  • Presets created on the Standard and Ultra are not compatible with the Axe-Fx II. Presets create on those devices can't be imported into Axe-Edit, unless you're running an older version of Axe-Edit.
