Mixer block
Axe-Fx III, FM3, FM9 — 4 blocks, 4 channels
VP4 — n/a
AM4 — n/a
Axe-Fx II — 2 blocks, X/Y (XL and XL+ only)
AX8, FX8 — n/a
About the Mixer block
The standalone Mixer block(s) is used to mix and route signals on the grid. Unlike the Multiplexer block, the Mixer can handle multiple inputs simultaneously.
The block can't be bypassed and doesn't support Global blocks.
For routing purposes, attach an external controller like a switch to the Mixer. This lets you use a single pedal to operate as a Wah (Wah block) or a Whammy (Pitch block), or crossfade between Amp blocks, similar to the Multiplexer block. Crossfading is something that the Mixer can accomplish and block channels can't do.
For more information see the Owners Manuals.
Mix parameters in Output blocks
The Output blocks also have basic mixing controls. These let you set the overall output level of the preset and the relative levels of the grid rows, per scene.
