What is the Scene MIDI block
It sends up to 8 CC or PC MIDI messages through the MIDI OUT port upon scene changes. Each scene can have different MIDI messages. Available only on the Axe-Fx III.
It must be added to the grid to use, but it does not have to be connected to the signal chain. The block can't be bypassed (but a scene can be configured to send no MIDI messages).
More information in the Owner's Manual.
Other ways to transmit MIDI
The Axe-Fx III provides additional ways to transmit MIDI messages. You can have the III transmit a MIDI PC through MIDI OUT with each preset change automatically. MIDI functionality will be added to the Control Switches. Incoming MIDI can be routed through the MIDI THRU port.
