Power Conditioners

If you are planning to use a power conditioner to protect an Axe-Fx and other equipment, generally it will be the other equipment that sets the requirements for the power conditioner. The Axe-Fx has a universal switching power supply which can accept a wide range of input voltages; for this reason Cliff has stated that a voltage regulator is not needed for the Axe-Fx. Switching supplies incorporate high frequency filtering on the input, so any TVSS (Transient Voltage Surge Suppression) device should be adequate since noise filtering is also not required.

I contacted two leading suppliers, Furman and SurgeX, for recommendations: Frank Frombach at SurgeX recommends the SX1115RL model; Furman did not respond with a recommendation.
