Where to find the metronome

The Metronome is not an effect block. It’s part of the Tempo menu.

Start and stop

Start the Metronome by pressing a switch, assigned to the Metronome's MIDI CC, or use the Tempo menu on the hardware.

If the Metronome starts automatically and cannot be stopped, it's probably triggered by a MIDI CC transmitted by your DAW. Disable this in your DAW, or set the Metronome's MIDI CC to NONE in the I/O menu.

Select the output

Axe-Fx II and AX8 — Output 1 only.

Axe-Fx III, FM9 and FM3 — The level can be set per output and USB/Digital.

Turn on and off

There's no on/off switch. To hear the metronome, turn up the level.

Turn the Synth into a metronome

You can use the Synth block to create a metronome. Here's how.
